Computers have been become essential part for life and education is no different. Students of this day and age mandatorily require a computer, preferably a laptop to facilitate their education. Laptops are quite expensive compared to a desktop computer but they are fast becoming an absolute essential requirement for students these days. Since laptops are mobile it helps the students to work on it at home, carry it to their college and also in the college it will easy for them to take it various places like class, lab, library etc. Not all can afford a laptop as result of which students who can not afford have started looking for a free laptop. Getting a free laptop is not an easy and it well sound like a dream when you think of it. But looking at it objectively there are ways and means to get a free laptop, let us have a look at some of them:
1. There a lot of colleges that offer free laptops for enrolling on to them, as a type of incentive to attract people to come and join them. Make sure college is a decent enough one before joining though. Just because they give free laptops it does not mean that you should close your eyes and join there. If they are of reasonable stature and they are offering free laptop there is not reason for you to hesitate.
2. There are websites which have some contests; if you do win those contests they offer free laptops. If you do come across some websites like these you should take up those contests. You must keep in mind that there are load of website which are just pure scams, they claim that they would offer free laptops but actually don't. There are also websites which ask to some token money to avail that offer and once you make the payment they might cheat. So when go to websites like this you must make sure if they are genuine before entering any sort of contests for free laptops.
3. Look out for ads in the local area's classifieds. There are quite a few people who wish to trade a product with they have for another one which they are in need off. For example you might need a laptop dearly but don not have the money with you purchase it. At the same time you have 2 iPods of which one is what you really use. So you can give off the extra iPod that you have and exchange with the person who is offering you a laptop in place of an iPod, pretty much like the barter system of olden days. Although this is not exactly a free laptop you getting a laptop which you dearly need in exchange with another thing at home which is not of much use to at all. In a way it is like a free laptop.
4. When your parents or relatives offer you graduation presents, ask for Laptops instead of any other presents. Whole of your family can pool in money and get you laptop instead of giving money. The money would all vanish soon as it can be spent on anything but laptop would be a long term investment.
